Job Description:
• university degree • experience in supplier management • knowledge of SAP R/3 is an asset • Understands production processes, can identify deviations in the production process • Can stand his ground Communikations profile • very good writing and reading in English • good spoken English (needs to be able to participate in conference calls in English) • firm but cooperative style
Job Requirements:
• Support plant material planners in order to ensure timely production and shipment of products out of China to overseas plants • according to the orders and forecasts placed by plant logistics, follow up the timely execution of needed production steps at the most critical suppliers • input data to be harvested autonomously out of SAP R/3 • follow up at suppliers by phone/email, personal visits, and cooperation with local Wacker Neuson quality engineers !wichtig • detect any risks for delayed shipments • if risk detected, try to solve the issue locally in China, potentially involving the buyers in China • if local solution not possible or a risk still remains, inform the relevant materials planner in the plant(s) • using the forecasted quantities, do a monthly verification of available capacity at the most critical suppliers • if a bottleneck becomes apparent, involve the Chinese buyers to find a solution. Further escalation done within the purchasing organisation if needed. • where a safety/consignment stock is agreed upon verify maintenance, stock level and FIFO operation thereof • support introduction of EDI relationships with Chinese suppliers (e. g. Beijing Famed) • daily work done by plant material planners, if escalation the logistics support will be informed actively; if he assumes an escalation case all communication to the supplier will be via him (to avoid 3-side communication) • develop and implement a tool for analysis in order to identify increased demands (4-12 months in advance) and define
